Dr. Kelly Jameson is a licensed professional counselor specializing in individual therapy for adolescents and adults, as well as family therapy and couples counseling. She maintains a private practice in Dallas, Texas.
Her therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. She works with each individual, family and couple to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing. She is trained as a systems therapist, which allows her to help clients see how one aspect of their life may be effecting a variety of others.
In addition to maintaining her private practice, Dr. Jameson collaborates with several organizations in the Dallas area. She serves on the Board of Directors for The Elisa Project, a non-profit organization dedicated to the prevention and effective treatment of eating disorders, as well as the local chapter of IAEDP (International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals). She also is on the Board of Directors at the Grant Halliburton Foundation, an institution seeking to provide mental health education for students, educators, parents, and professionals in order to prevent suicide.
From 2009-2015, Dr. Jameson served as the Upper School Social & Emotional Counselor at Parish Episcopal School, where she worked with 400+ adolescents on a daily basis with a variety of issues.
Dr. Jameson, who was recently named a Top Doctor by Dallas/Fort Worth Child Magazine, is a parenting expert on local and national talk radio. She also regularly presents to parent and education groups in the Dallas area on topics regarding child and adolescent issues such as resilience, brain development, birth order, raising girls, raising boys, launching college students and more.
Kelly is married to Dallas attorney Chris Jameson, and they have three small children who keep them busy!
